Training Transition Aquathon

Training

Keen to train up for the Training Transition Junior Aquathon Series?

Well done! You've made the first step and have set yourself the goal of completing the Aquathon either in a team or as an individual entrant.

No serious training is required just to finish the Category I Event - all you need to be able to do is swim four lengths and run just over a ½ mile. If you want to prepare, practice each element of the aquathon and focus on the hard part - the transition.

Try to do some kind of physical activity every day - this might be sports class at school, or playing a bit of soccer at lunchtime or walking to and from school. Train with your friends and get your parents involved.

You will swim four to twenty lengths of the pool so why not get a group of you together and head down to your local pool (with your guardians if necessary) during their public swimming hours and get some practice in. Or join their swim team!

Rachel from Training Transition will also be available if you would like to get together a group together to practice for the event or ask your teacher if this might fit into your physical education plan.

And after the events, there will be the opportunity to join a team to train specifically for Triathlons (swim, bike and run): More info at: Training Transition Juniors

Happy Training!
